First off, I'm trying to install a second OS on my PS3. I have a Windows XP set-up disk and I have thumb drive and CD/DVD-RW for transferring the boot loader file to install the OS on m PS3. I have the link [look below] to the manual to do it but I still need some assistance.I am having trouble finding the boot loader file on the set-up disk.
Also, has anyone done this or know someone who has, because I would like to know if there are any problems when you install a separate OS. And will it actually work like a normal computer?

Here's the link for the manual: http://www.playstation.com/ps3-openplatform/manual.html

Windows for PlayStation 3 can only be run through virtual software when a linux based software, Windows will not installed onto the PS3 because of it's processor mainly.
Use an Operating System that was designed for the PlayStation that takes advantage over it's special hadware like PSubuntu

http://psubuntu.com/

Comes with a tutorial and everything. I have never used it cause to be honest, I have a perfectly fine computing running dual-boot of Windows XP & Ubuntu 8.10
