My xbox sometimes freezes up when trying to go into a game from the dashboard, and wont let me play online since the NXE update. It made my connection shit, i used to be normally 3 green bars, now im 98% of the time red bar which is so low you cant play, you just skip around - your bullets don't hurt people. 1% of the time yellow (2) bar, and 1% of the time my three green bars. I don't think its my connection because it ran pretty decent before the update and now its utter shit.

Not just me either, except so far i haven't seen a thread for connection problems after the update.

In short, DON'T UPDATE TILL NXE IS FIXED!

That is why I do not play online wireless, a Wireless connection is slower than a wired one. The NXE has not harmed my gameplay in the slightest, but that may because I'm connected through a gigabit ethernet connection, I refuse to use wireless as the max it can transmit is 300 Megabits/second and that's only if you have a 802.11N router, most people would only have 802.11G which is much slower.

I use the same of PSN, it could just be a little hickup cause the marketplace was kind of fucked up too but that was fixed.

P.S have you tried an ehternet connection?

im not on a wireless connection either, i use an ethernet cable to a router.

How it your internet working? Is it just Live or is all the internet slow?

Its pretty slow, but it wasn't before i downloaded the update. ever since then im red bar online when i used to be about 3 green bars which is decent.

I set up a wireless laptop recently though which is in the same room, but i don't think it would be interfering...

maybe try restoring Xbox to factory settings, reinstalling updates.

Or make sure all ur PCs are off, then maybe try them systematically, maybe u have a rogue process running thats hogging ur bandwidth.

Go to "Memory" in "System Settings" that should be at the end of "My Xbox".

Highlight the harddive but don't click and press this:

Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X.

I don't know if this will work, but it means all the Game Updates will be deleted and you will be prompted to again.

If it makes my xbox blow up, you'll see me soon boni

EDIT 1: last night i restored factory defaults ad nothing happened

EDIT 3: no good. it still wont let me online. It has to be NXE. fucking hell. i guess i'll just have to call Microsoft
