I've got a question for you!
In the first verse of "No Reason", Deryck sings:
"To turn our backs away, and choose to just ignore"
But if we turn our backs away, doesn't that mean to turn our "fronts" ahead?
Just tell me if i'm wrong, or not.

Just think of it like this.. If you ask someone "Turn your back away" that is facing you, their natural reaction would be to turn away from you.

You are turning your back to someone, leaving them in the cold.

Technically you have a point but I think it further proves Deryck's genius with a turn of phrase to fit the song. He could have easily said, turn ours eyes/heads away, but the back thing makes it a bit more extreme and rolls better off the tongue.
