I only liked a few of their older songs but they're new stuff is pretty good i think.

Re: Fall Out Boy
I liked a couple of songs from Infinity on High, but I'm loathe to even call this new stuff rock music. It sounds like glitched-out 80s pop. Too many synths and auto-tuned vocals for my liking.
fuck this signature nonsense

My thoughts exactly, and its even worse considering the name of the album.... Save Rock and Roll ...Gregorovich wrote:I liked a couple of songs from Infinity on High, but I'm loathe to even call this new stuff rock music. It sounds like glitched-out 80s pop. Re: Fall Out Boy
I thought they had disbanded the group last year.. oh well. Guess that was too good to be true.

Oh... Well, I dunno', but at least they haven't been relevant since 2008 or whatever.Last year? Didn't they break up like in 2008 or something?
I guess this http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/gen ... music.html was why I thought of last year though.

I'm not a fan of them, but I gave it a listen yesterday and it's ok. With the sunny weather it made me feel the spring is coming. I'm sure it won't be one of my favourites of all time, but still it's just easy to listen and enjoy the songs. For now, song Alone Together seems to be my fav.

Re: Fall Out Boy
I've had the Light Em Up song stuck in my head at work all day today. I never got into this band mostly because I didn't like Pete Wentz. Patrick is a pretty good songwriter though; catchy stuff.
EDIT: Finally gave The Phoenix a listen and I'm liking the whole feel of the two songs released so far. It's definitely a big, epic sound that gives off a "Fall Out Boy is back, bitches" much like Screaming Bloody Murder was to Sum 41.
While I agree it doesn't sound at all like the traditional idea of rock & roll, I find the songs quite good. I don't know, they just have life to them and I think it's mostly due to the singing. Whatever happened from 2007 until now made Patrick a better singer and I can actually understand some words.
