Me neither. I was on one show of this tour, it was the most entertaining one and "worth money" of all I've been on. 40 bucks for more than 3 hours show was amazing. (+ Billy Talent in addition!). I would like to see it once again for sure.

Hahaha, page 4 of this thread is awesome!

I don't mind Green Day. I can't say I listen to a lot of their stuff anymore though. Dookie, American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown were the albums I most listened to while dabbling in the rest of their albums. Also, I never really knew how capable of a guitarist Billie Joe was until I listened to 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. There are some cool solos on that album!

On my iPhone, I only have one Green Day song and that's... Boulevard of Broken Dreams. Why? So I have a soundtrack to play when I walk home from the bars, drunk. That's really the only reason. Sometimes I'll switch it up with Pieces by Sum 41.

No, blink was the second punk band.
Green Day invented smoking weed and rocking out in your room.

They were just as famous (in Australia at least) in 1995 as they were for the rest of their albums.

Blink made it more poppy I'd say.

I can remember buying Nimrod when it was their latest album - I was about. Fucking loved it. It's still the only album of theirs that I rate to be honest.

i don't even like either band all that much but i have to say that Green Day is way better than Blink 182.

-this is all my opinion-

green day's vocals are more powerful than blinks, and they have no problem recreating them live. the guitar and bass parts are better in Green Day. the drums may not be on the same level as travis barkers, but i think Tre is a more entertaining person than Travis. i've never seen travis smile or laugh, and the whole "look at me! im drumming while suspended upside down!" was stupid and a complete waste of time. i've never been to a show by either band, but i'd go see Green Day way before i would see blink 182.

Green Day does have a better live show, no doubt, but I think I'd like blink more just based on them being my favourite and first favourite band. Plus I'm not as big of a fan of the flames, sparks, all that stuff, i just like music, lights and banter which blink does well.

I actually saw a video from blink's 09 tour where Tom walked up to Travis and did something stupid and you see Travis laugh and smile, it made me like him a lot more...so yeah it kinda annoys me how he seems so hollow I guess.

Having seen both Blink 182 and Green Day live - I can say that Green Day are much better live. The only thing that's lacking is a bit of banter.

Overall, I would say Green Day are a better band. Let's see what Blink's new album brings though.

Is AAF worth getting if I've got BIAB?
