Video Editing Help!

Hey guys,
I was wondering whats a good free video/editing/mixing program to use. I have an .AVI file of the simpsons and I need to trim parts so I can get a little video of many clips. I'm not really sure how to do this, but if someone could help me out, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Windows Movie Maker. Should be on your Pc, assuming you're using one.

I use OpenShot, it's 100% free.
