You could use it for that or you could make your own blog entries about whatever you'd like. I see lots of people make posts about their days or something interesting thats on their mind. I personally just use it for picture purposes though.
So just like FB or Twitter? And now there's this Google+ coming along, wtf?

Social overload.
Well, not really. You can "Reblog" photos from other users to your blog and such. I don't post any of my own personal ones, I just reblog ones that you could say are stock/photography ones. You can sort of post things like a status on facebook, but most of the people I follow don't do that. You can "Ask" people stuff in their ask boxes. The only thing that makes Tumblr like Twitter is the use of the word "Follow".
What is Google+ anyway? I keep hearing people mention it but don't know really what it's all about.

You can't even compare it to Twitter and FB!!!!!!!

Well, you're quick to judge.
Well, I'm just too confused. And don't get why there has to be so many social networks that only have little difference from each other.
What can you do with Tumblr that you can't do with Twitter or FB?

To be honest, the best thing is to sign up. I did that and really was confused. Once you get started and sort everything out, you get the hang of it. You can use it however you want. You don't need to post photos or do the same as you do with twitter and facebook. I don't see many posting their photos from facebook. One thing I hate is when people link their tumblr to facebook/twitter.
