I've only seen Deryck play Underclass Hero songs with it but it still sounds pretty crappy. The tone just seems flat and weak. It's good for beginners because beginners won't give a shit about what sound the guitar has, only that it's Deryck's sig and it must sound good.
Deryck doesn't use the signature though, he'll be using a proper fender not a squier.
He used it when Sum 41 played their album live when it got released.
King of Contradiction Live

He also used it at some festival back in the summer.
Signature 1
Signature 2

When he calls kids up on stage to play his guitar, they play his sig.
Makes No Difference Live

He doesn't use it often, but he has used it.[/url]

lol wow a lot of people commented. Ok I see a couple things...

1st: I should've gotten a lefty guitar...BUT his guitar doesn't come lefty and the guy at the store said if I'm just starting it doesn't really matter if I'm lefty or righty.

2nd: Yeah I'm REALLY new at guitars, but I figured it would be somethin' nice to do. I'm gonna get lessons from my firend so hopefully he teaches me somethin' lol.

and 3rd: After I made this topic I figured out what the knobs were for. But yeah so far I know three things...

1. I'm playing a guitar
2. There are two E strings
3. I know where the 5th fret is lol........

you are right! Deryck's said before that he doesn't like to take his favorite guitars on the road because they end up getting broken or stolen or treated like chit.

lol, im only 14 anyway....

I'm learning how to sweep pick....i'm getting a hang of it =)
I never use tabs....I figure out everything by ear...

Songs i know are: Iron Maiden - The trooper
Iron Maiden - hallowed be thy name( gotta work on the solos)
Iron Maiden- Invaders
Iron Maiden- children of the damned( all of it except the part played clean)
Brown Brigade- Blame the wizards
Brown Brigade- Aggravation plantation(everything except solos)
Brown Brigade- Purebread( Didn't get first solo yet, got the second solo

And i could basically play all of the Sum 41 songs....good for a person who doesn't know chords, right? 8)

well most and almost all the other chords are variations of a bigger power chord.

yeah thats true, and its known that there are way too many chords in the worlds, but most of them are just variations of basic chords, power chords or other bullshit sus-chords, septa chords and stuff like that.

and Brownmetal, 14 and you can play all of this? very nice.
i'm 16, and i can play some Sum 41 songs, lots of Misfits songs, and well... on the guitar, i'm basically into punk :D

but too bad i suck at learning by ear... could you maybe write me some tabs for Aggravation Plantation, Blame the Wizards and Purebread? (except those solos you couldn't figure out), cuz i just can't learn it by ear... i suck at that
