For the 10th anniversary of Underclass Hero, Deryck posted a video where he goes through all the layers of Walking Disaster. Check it out!

Still Waiting
For me, this is the kind of video I've dreamed of seeing. Seriously, one of my dreams has been to listen to Deryck while he goes through the songs like this. Can't remember when I've been this excited watching a video! I definitely hope he'll do more!
This gave me such a HUGE new appreciation for Deryck and the guys and everything they go through to make an album. A LOT more goes into a song than we thought. I guess this explains why new material doesn't get released as "SOON" as we hope for (I had to! Haha!)

Yeah!
Then again, a lot of the criticism towards UH was because of what people considered as "overproduction". To me this is a work of art with musical subtleties that can make or break the depth and overall replayability of the song. Particularly pull the curtain has many elements that I just enjoy to focus listening on, like the backing vocals in some segments.
I kind of wish he would do the entire album and then do one for Screaming Bloody Murder and 13 Voices, haha. I really enjoyed this video, but it also made me a little sad because of how much went into making the song (and the album) and just how it wasn't well received by some people.
It amazes me how they kept these songs' project files, it's so detailed and they could actually changed the whole song if they wanted.
Also cool to hear some backstories, like how he showed to the label the song or I didn't know that the background vocal at the chorus sings 'So am I down?"
