Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
All the song's sounded fucking great until Tom started singing.
He seriously needs to take a back seat in Angels and Airwaves, get a new drummer, get a singer that also writes the lyrics. The songs would be so much better.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
After finishining the album my original comment still stands. I love angels and airwaves but this really is terrible. There is nothing memorable on this album aside from anxiety. Very borring. The sad part is Tom probably put a lot more time into this then the new blink album and the blink album was actually really good. How much denial is he in to actually claim this is the best thing angels has done.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
Not sure about that part honestly, this album all of a sudden went from 2-3 instrumentals to a full album. It was probably full of ideas that Mark or Travis didn't accept for blink. When listening to a lot of the songs I feel like Tom thought up the idea in the morning and practically finished the song that day.pescidavid wrote:The sad part is Tom probably put a lot more time into this then the new blink album and the blink album was actually really good. Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
AVA got a new drummer Lian Rubin btw. He was a touring drummer with Nine Inch Nails and was also in Lostprophets. He's only 23 which is kinda weird fit. Hopefully it changes AVA like how blink kicked off after Travis joined...you never know, could see AVA world stadium touring in a couple years ;)

I actually think this guy might just be here for the tour starting soon, then he'll take off after it. Doesn't seem like they're going to record another album, but at the same time I can't see Tom stopping AVA.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
Yeah I was reading a few days ago and Tom was saying how it was "too hard" having two bands and everything. And Blink confirmed more albums are coming since they have had such a good time being back together. All that said I was hoping that this meant the end of Angels and Airwaves. Don't get me wrong I love them but it's been done. Unfortunately i also read somewhere that angels had already started writing music for two more records, but i have no idea if thats true. I really wish he would just focus on Blink now though. Lay Angels to rest.Tyler. wrote:I actually think this guy might just be here for the tour starting soon, then he'll take off after it. Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
Haha, yeah me too. Fun fact is that the biggest show they ever played was opening for Foo Fighters at Hyde Park and apparently weren't that appreciated by the fans who didn't ant to hear about them being saved by Tom. It's kind of fun that Foo Fighters can sell out stadiums without trying to be spacemans and just palying rather simple basic rock instead.Bobbyjames wrote:if Angels & Airwaves ever manage to sell out a world stadium tour, I'll give up on life and the human race.
Tom needs a relaity check.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
I doubt Tom would stop AvA now, considering not too long ago he said he had already started writing material for the next album and said that he has enough ideas for at least 2 albums, as well as a next film. So I guess there gonna be something like they did with Love, two albums and a movie... I hope a new Blink album comes before that though, but with Ava touring through 2012 I can't see Blink going into the studio again before 2013.

AvA isn't that bad, but a change in pace for them might be better than the new album.

Re: Blink 182 Discussion Thread
It's too much the same, too much god and his religions bullshit.
Serious Tom, get Mark and Travis in AvA. Let Mark sing and Travis play drum, kick ass band.
Or wait, that's Blink182?

Yeah Dave Grohl went out on stage and told them to stop booing AVA cos they were cool dudes or something, or his friends lol. He's such an awesome guy.Emil wrote:Haha, yeah me too.
