This song has been a pain in my ass, went through 5 versions, none of them alike, and finally felt good with this one. Then when I tried to record it I kept messing up, this is the third take and its not perfect, but I got tired of re-doing it..lol. Basically its about someone saying they'd be there for you then weren't
Stand up, with your white flag a wavin
All the sudden your words are caving
Since you turned your back on me
Brushed off, all you'll have are the regrets
And wishing you weren't such a hypocrite
Picking and choosing what you want to see
But its alright
I'll still go on and live my life
And when the moments gone
I'll be the only one
Standing firmly on the ground
Saying I guess you missed out
Look up, I don't need to see your face
I thought you couldn't be replaced
But I'll just search for someone else
I know, you didn't mean me any harm
But I guess it was just way to hard
To tell me that yourself
Chorus
And when those days have come and passed
And you want the moments back
I can't help you out
Its not my fault you let me down

Re: "Missed Out" - my new song
Thanks, I appreciate it!! yeah I have a vision for more of a fast tempo/punk-pop vibe for this song, but can only do so much with the acoustic and no recording equipment. I'm actually going to record some songs in a couple weeks at my professors studio.

Great work Heather! I haven't listened to any of your new material lately, but this song is really good! It feels tight and well-rounded and energetic!

I don't like it as much as the others, but don't get me wrong, this song is amazing as always. Wish I could help you, I often go in studio at my uni, I'd love to mix one of your songs !!!

Cool song! You've a really nice voice. There's a cool folkish vibe here, nice energy to it. Are you recording in a studio soon?

Re: "Missed Out" - my new song
I like this one and that's something to say because I usually don't like those songs about betraying one person's trust ... because I don't trust until it's well earned and that means I am never disappointed
Mark: Sometimes when I talk in 3rd person i end up calling tom mark
Tom:Yea than he starts touching me and i think thats masturbation
Some people think were idiots or perverts dont argue were both.

thanks, yeah I'm not easily trusting either, and I've let this person do it to me a couple times. So I felt like writing about itFuckT41182 wrote:I like this one and that's something to say because I usually don't like those songs about betraying one person's trust ... because I don't trust until it's well earned and that means I am never disappointed

Re: "Missed Out" - my new song
Thank You! my mom use to play guitar so she showed me the chords to Avril's "Nobody's Home" back in 06 and I just took it from there, I learned most chords from just playing around (ie I don't know what they're called, I just play them...lol), and powerchords from tabs. And most of that learning has come this year, I just started getting tired of the same chords, hahaShelley41 wrote:I can't get enough of your voice! So beautiful.

I'm trying to get back into piano (took lessons when I was younger and hated it), I learned Pieces a few months ago and have played around with some melodies, but nothing special

Re: "Missed Out" - my new song
I liked it a lot! It has more of a folk/country vibe that the rest of your songs. Can't wait to hear some real recordings by you, you should definitely release an album or EP
