Ok this is gonna take a while! For Sum 41, Canada's erstwhile leaders in brattishness, the days of comedy videos and gurning into cameras seem to be gone for good. After the departure of guitarist Dave Baksh, the band have evolved from gobby, spotty teens into a much more mature act on Underclass her...

Their overall sound in the All Killer era wasnt that good (just watch the astoria show for proof!) but their energy was great and the way Deryck was ten times more confident on guitar make it one of my favorite eras. I'd say Infected was probably the best though, Deryck was still playing a lot of pa...

No Apologies is nowhere near good enough to be on Underclass Hero. It's just a staight-forward song with cliché lyrics and bar-chorded guitar and I don't believe for a second that Sum 41 ever had any intentions of having it on the album. Take a Look At Yourself is easily the best underclass Hero ...

Handle This isn't "crazy solo" material. Pull The Curtain from Underclass Hero is as complex as that and sounds just as good aswell. Deryck wrote The Hell Song Solo and Dave wrote the Inn Too deep solo but Deryck played it in the studio. Dave wrote most of Sum 41's solos while he was in th...

To the guy that said Deryck is trying to cover the weakness of the music by saying he is not a guitarist and just writes music. Deryck doesnt mean the lyrics...the lyrics and the composition are completely different things. He means the song in general which is why he plays Piano and keys on this al...

They are all literally scales played over and over again to the same simplisticly slow tempo on which almost all Green Day songs are based. Nothing here shows that Billie Joe posesses the technicality to play solos like the Bitter End it's just in a completely dfferent class

Tom delonge and Billie Joe Armstrong wouldnt be able for Sum 41's music. Whatever about Tom Delonge but Billie joe is really shit on guitar as far as technicality goes and for anyone who thinks his song-writing qualifies him to be listed with anyone half good enough to play lead-guitar for Sum 41 is...

I can play them all they're pretty easy to figure out I'm playing Pull the Curtain with a band at the moment the three layers of vocals at the end is crazy. The ones I play the most are songs like No Brains,March of the Dogs,Pull The Curtain (because of it's epic breakdown!),Grab The Devil By The Ho...

No...there is a background read the lyrics on the last page then listen again they're actually far more audible than the second set of background lyrics!
