Tell you what I'll do, I'll unlock the topic for now and try not to piss people off, remember the vegetarian thread. that was pretty good discussion and we'll see what happens.Jake-41 wrote:I completely understand. If i re-post my abortion thread, it wont get locked?
Here's the thing. It's a sensitive topic that brings up a lot of opinions and things like religion get involved. Eventually (this always happens, every forum I've been to) everyone gets pissed off at each other and all chaos and hell breaks loose to the point that the topic gets locked anyway.
I don't believe it to be something that needs to be discussed on a Sum 41 fansite either. Life goes on. And I don't think this is a really serious problem (the topic locking). Whoever locked it was just saving the forum some trouble.
The fact of the matter is, i could care less about what mod's do, or the status of the topic's i post.
Lock this topic, i don't give a fuck!

This. Just because i listen to a band with a certain political message doens't mean i have to belive the same thing. Get your own view of politics instead of following what a band says. It's like just cause i listen to a band that says drop out of school i would do it.Gunner wrote:Who gives a shit about Sum 41's political stance. What does that even have to do with us moderating this forum? I doubt Deryck even gives a shit about politics anyway. Every explanation he gives for said political song is so ambiguous, nothing is explicit. Anyone can write a song saying society is shit nowadays. If it's catchy enough, you might have people that feel the same way.RODNEYMULLEN wrote:I suppose this topics gonna be gone 2 minutes after i post it. But i'm sick of you guys locking or deleting treads for almost no reason. Like the abortion thread, it's a serious discussion. Why lock it? You guys get like mad with power but you just mods on a non official fan website, get over yourselves, your not important. This is like a Natzie forum man, stop editing, locking, or deleting posts and threads for no reason. Yeah if someone uploads illegal content it's ok to do something about it, but other than that just leave the threads the way they are. And if this thread gets deleted i'm just gonna repost it. That kind of censoring is the opposite of sum 41s political stance.
And abortion discussions always leads to people getting super pissed at each other.

Agreed @ everything Jeremy said.
Bashing the mods is soooo old that even Peter isn't doing it anymore.

I don't see why people would get pissed at each other, yeah it may be a sensitive thematics but if people just express their opinions and not bitch about the opinions of others it can lead to a nice discussion.Emil wrote: And abortion discussions always leads to people getting super pissed at each other.
